How Digital Agencies Will Fail Everytime

Tomorrow I’ll be at the State Library of Victoria as part of the #V21 Digital Summit. In my futurist, pragmatist role I’ll be presenting few ideas about why ‘Your Future is NOT an App’, then later in the day facilitating an onstage debate about Disruption’s role in Innovation. And if it is anything to go by from last year’s event, I’ll have an opportunity to learn a significant amount. But back to the headline about Digital Agencies Failing –

As a technology agnostic, I don’t buy into the ‘all tech is good’ or ‘all tech is bad’ view of the world. What I’m looking for is how tech might be used and whether that will be an improvement on today. And this is where the demise of digital companies begins because unless they focus on the end user, they can get caught up in everything the technology can do, and miss the important ‘people’ factor.

I’ll come back and add more ideas in after tomorrow about what I said. In the meantime, you can check out AIMIA’s #V21 Digital Summit website
