A 2003 Prediction about 2015 One Step Closer to Coming True!

Sometimes when you look at enough assorted pieces of information a clear pattern emerges. In a previous role I was tasked with looking at the Future of Education, a topic I delved deeply into for almost 3 years. And in 2003 in a piece titled ‘The Future of Commercial Education’ I predicted that by 2015, a National Student Draft would exist in Australia as a way for employers to attract tertiary graduates. Today’s Australian Government announcement bringing the corporate sector explicitly into the secondary school sector, brings my prediction to the cusp of reality

The entire piece of The Future of Commercial Education is available here for you to read. I map out what it would look like, how it would probably operate and important, identify the likely signals indicating the prediction was closer to reality. You can link to the PDF file here.

Please note that this PDF file of The Future of Commercial Education has had the email and website contact details changed. That is the only change that has been made – it is, in its entirety, an exact copy of the original document which you can view here
