Rising Household Energy Costs NOT due to Environmental Polices

The United Kingdom's Committee on Climate Change has released a report that shows rising household energy costs are not caused by the apparent burden of environmental policies. Instead the core factor is increases in costs increases of Oil and Gas as the Energy resource sector taps into a 'growth' market.
You can have a read of the presss release here. On a related side note, after every spike in energy costs, there's been a significant downturn in economic activity. There remains a question of whether the spike in energy costs triggers the downturn or is just an indicator of increasing demand for resources. Either way, there's a bit of 'as surely as night follows day' about the pattern

Here we are with the last posting of the year looking at the potential for wide ranging strategy for a country like the United States. Arguably the United States is undergoing its own version of #Brexit though without the vote of the people. Instead the dictatorial nature of what I see as an incompetent strategic leader is unilaterally withdrawing the USA from its long standing and beneficial partnerships with the rest of the world.
