This is Part One from this year's chat where I suggest they need to develop a C.A.P.A.B.L.E. Future

For the past few years I've been lucky enough to have been asked by SEBN and SELLEN to talk to a couple of hundred kids about their futures and the skills they might need. As two excellent training and development organisations, SEBN and SELLEN bring kids in from upto 15 High Schools in the region to hear from relatively recent graduates about what they've learned since joining the workforce. Your CAPABLE Future Part One is the longer of the two clips (at about 15mins & Part Two at about 6mins). I explain why the school system is designed to turn out sausages, why kids need to challenge what they are learning and how they are taught, and why 'Life-Long Learning' is a load of rubbish but Learning for Life is critical
