It's a Simple Question of Focus

Sometimes we get too caught up in making our current state of business more complex than it needs to be. And yet most of your business issues will come down to honestly answering just two simple questions -
1. Have you stated explicitly where you want your business to go and by when you want to get there?
2. If you have not been able to answer the first question, how can you justify spending ANY of your organisation's resources on ANY ACTIVITY?
Because if you are a director of a business you have an obligation to know why you are spending money, time and other resources on actions designed to get you to where you want to go. And if you're busy but without a destination, you're kidding yourself

Can the United States Survive the Childish Tantrums of an Incompetent President?

Here we are with the last posting of the year looking at the potential for wide ranging strategy for a country like the United States. Arguably the United States is undergoing its own version of #Brexit though without the vote of the people. Instead the dictatorial nature of what I see as an incompetent strategic leader is unilaterally withdrawing the USA from its long standing and beneficial partnerships with the rest of the world.
